Toronto, ON-July 27th – Jason Benoit, one of Canada’s rising country stars, releases his new single “All Wanna Party” today through JV Records/Sony Music Canada. A barn-burning track, it follows Benoit’s previous smashes “Crazy Kinda Love,” “Cold Day Comin’” and the Top 10 charting “Gone Long Gone.”
The arrival of “All Wanna Party” continues to build excitement for Benoit’s soon-to-be-released full-length debut album, and like his previous singles was produced in Nashville with Dave “Dwave” Thomson (Autumn Hill, Leah Daniels). Now represented by Invictus Entertainment, Jason Benoit has been all over Canada with festival appearances at Cavendish Beach, Boots ‘N Hearts, Trackside (London ON), and Manitoulin Island, on top of sharing stages with Brett Kissel and Tim Hicks, as well as headlining the 2016 edition of the Young Guns of Country tour.
“I remember hearing and loving songs like “”Okey from Muskogee” and “Friends in Low Places” around kitchen tables and camp fires for pretty much all my life. “All Wanna Party” is my take on these fun sing along songs from my past. I truly hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed writing it. Cheers”-Jason Benoit
Originally from the tiny town of Fox Island River, Newfoundland, Jason Benoit first gained attention with his cover of “This Is What It Feels Like,” the Grammy-nominated song by Dutch DJ Armin van Buuren, co-written with Canadians Jenson Vaughan and Trevor Guthrie. Benoit’s countrified take on the track was included on the Sony Music compilation Country Heat 2014, alongside hits by the likes of Brad Paisley, Blake Shelton, Carrie Underwood and Miranda Lambert.
A year later, the success of “Gone Long Gone” led to Benoit’s celebrated appearance at the 2015 Cavendish Beach Music Festival, where he was named the winner of the Canadian Country Music Association’s inaugural Discovery Atlantic Award. This was soon followed by a nomination in the CCMA’s Rising Stars category, and a performance at the awards gala in Halifax. But, accolades aside, Benoit’s natural ability to command an audience whenever he performs live is proof enough that Benoit’s star is truly on the rise.
