Toronto Based Artist ESMA is Back with her New Single & Video “BASS”

Toronto, Ontario, August 2nd 2016, Today marks the international release of ESMA’s new single “Bass”. ESMA has teamed up with Producer/DJ, KAGE to debut their hit single and video. “We are pretty much a female Drake and 40, haha but seriously we don’t believe in limits or boundaries when it comes to specific genres and sounds, good music is just good music. I truly believe I have created my most authentic sound to date” – ESMA

“Bass” displays ESMA’s blunt, confident and raw song writing skills. The lyrics are asking for what is expected in a relationship and calling out one that did not live up to this expectation. Some of the lyrics are Ain’t nothing I got faulty, Kanye West confidence on me, Yes imma talk freely, I don’t care if you can’t stand me and I know you wanna marry, I will not be your primary.

“I feel society undercuts woman’s confidence, which in turn can refrain us from receiving what we deserve out of life. Woman are expected to suppress what they are truly feeling in order to show class, when men can say or do anything and are praised” – ESMA

In a short period of time and after moving across the country, ESMA’s online presence has been organically growing with her new found talent for writing and performing original rap, along side her singing. ESMA writes original rap verses to hit songs and fans are responding, her YouTube views have hit over 70K. For full BIO:

What the press is saying about Kiki Rowe:

“There’s a new Toronto artist making emotional, relationship-themed music with P. Reign, Eric Dingus, and DJ Mustard whose name isn’t Drake.”

Noisey (music by VICE)

“Kiki Rowe is a young purveyor of luxurious R&B cuts (think self-titled-era Jojo meets Aquarius-era Tinashe) soaking up the rich sounds and culture of her home city, Toronto. Working with producers like DJ Mustard and Ivan Barias to make her hazy, mesmerizing tracks.”

– The FADER

“Rowe blurs the lines between soul, R&B, and pop, with atmospheric, electronic finishes. A must for fans of what The Weeknd and Frank Ocean are doing in the genre.”

– Entertainment Weekly

“…she caught the soul bug, and started creating a brilliant fusion of bouncy dance music and introspective indie pop.”

– Toronto Life

“Any fans of Frank Ocean should be enthralled by this release. It’s R&B to the core, with the type of modern ambience that’s infectious nowadays.”

– Earmilk
